A view of the stage at the MITX Awards

Last night, MITX (Massachusetts Innovation and Technology Exchange) hosted their 14th Annual Interactive Awards at the Boston Copley Marriott Hotel. The MITX Awards is the largest awards show of its kind and showcases the most creative and innovative web projects from throughout the country. It was a sell-out event with over 1,100 attendees.

If you’ve never been to the MITX Awards before, it’s a little like the Academy Awards for websites. The production is super slick and the networking is in high gear. Professional comedian Jeff Caldwell hosted the show, keeping the audience laughing with his jokes on social media, company logos, and even certain sponsors!

Bridgeline went into the night nominated in the Education and Learning category for our work on the Hooked on Phonics Learn to Read website. Our team and our customer put their all into this project and had high hopes for its potential. The drumroll came…and from a field of 6 finalists, Hooked on Phonices came out on top! This was particularly satisfying as it is the first MITX award for a site developed on iAPPS Content Manager and iAPPS Analytics. Congratulations are in order for all the finalists as each project presented its own challenges and great solutions!
